Taxonomic notes and key to the West Palearctic Antocha (Antocha) Osten Sacken, 1860 (Diptera, Limoniidae) with description of a new species from Morocco

The Mediterranean Region of the West Palearctic is one most species-rich biomes in world, hosting a high level endemism and relict species with important conservation value. North Africa Atlas Mountains (spanning Morocco, Algeria Tunisia) belong to poorly-investigated region area, overlooked aquatic biodiversity; hence, number still remain be discovered. subgenus Antocha (Antocha) Osten Sacken, 1860 recorded for first time from Africa, description A. (A.) staryi Keresztes & Mabrouki sp. nov. hilly regions Middle region, Morocco. unique design male terminalia differentiates well newly-discovered its closely-related range-restricted phoenicia Thomas Dia, 1982. This contrast intraspecific geographically poorly-defined variability widespread vitripennis (Meigen, 1830), which morphological genital structures discussed. Illustrations parts, distribution data key area are also provided.
